ScanOut is the New Way to Pay

Going to the grocery store is one of the biggest chores people have to do. It is not that 1410393063875_wps_19_Sainsbury_s_trials_Mobilepeople are opposed to buying food; it is just the long wait in line and dealing with all those other people. Buying things online is so easy because it gets rid of these problems, but it presents a new one in shipping. Having to wait around for the mail is not always an option. Especially when all you need is some milk and eggs. That is why there is a hot new app that can save people time and hassle at the grocery store. It is called ScanOut.

Buying Things Using a Smartphone

ScanOut allows a user’s smartphone to be transformed into a register. You cannot pay with cash but all credit cards are accepted. When setting up the ScanOut account go ahead and add a method of payment to make shopping even faster. All a user has to do is scan the item using the camera function. They will then be prompted to either add or delete the item from their cart. Once all the items are in the cart all there is left to do is pay which can be done with that credit card that was put on file earlier. A digital receipt will be displayed as your proof of purchase.

The app is making things easier for both store owners and shoppers. It is causing a decrease in shopper frustration as it is allowing cashiers an easier workflow. That is why more grocery stores are encouraging their customers to use ScanOut when possible so it keeps the sales flow moving.

The Digital Age

The digital age is here and shopping from a smartphone is just one more step technology is helping us take. Where will the next step lead? Now that you have so much time not having to stand around in a grocery store maybe you can figure it out.
